Section of Molecular Pathology
Molecular Pathology of Tumours
Section of Molecular Pathology focuses on molecular mechanisms involved in the development and progression of human neoplasms. The major objectives are to study genetic pathways leading to different histologic types of human neoplasms in order to elucidate their natural histories, to identify predictive factors of human neoplasms, to elucidate etiology of human neoplasms, and to establish and use genetically engineered animals in understanding the cell origin of tumours and signalling pathways involved in their development.
WHO Classification of Tumours Series (WHO Blue Books)
To establish a pathological and genetic classification and grading human tumours that is accepted and used worldwide.
