Health inequalities: embodied evidence across biological layers (LIFEPATH)

Professor Paolo Vineis is the vice president of the Italian Higher Health Council, a professor of environmental epidemiology at the School of Public Health at Imperial College London, and the coordinator of the LIFEPATH project.
Title: Health inequalities: embodied evidence across biological layers (LIFEPATH)

The aim of the LIFEPATH project, which is funded by the European Commission, is to investigate the biological pathways underlying social differences in healthy ageing.

Professor Vineis presented a seminar titled “Health inequalities: embodied evidence across biological layers (LIFEPATH)” at the International Agency for Research on Cancer (IARC) on 6 March 2019. After his seminar, at which he presented evidence for a biological embodiment of social disadvantage, Professor Vineis answered some questions about his work and this research.
