The African Cancer Registry Network (AFCRN) has welcomed two new members covering catchment populations in Ekiti (Nigeria) and Eswatini, bringing the total membership to 31 registries in 23 countries. The International Agency for Research on Cancer (IARC), as part of its Global Initiative for Cancer Registry Development (GICR), has partnered with AFCRN since 2012 to develop a network Regional Hub for cancer registration in sub-Saharan Africa. With the addition of these two new members, AFCRN and GICR continue to increase the number of high-quality cancer registries in sub-Saharan Africa.
