The International Agency for Research on Cancer (IARC) is pleased to announce the launch of the World Cancer Report Updates learning platform, a freely accessible online service that aims to become a living resource on cancer research for cancer prevention.
This new platform, developed with the support of and in collaboration with the European Society for Medical Oncology (ESMO), will provide learning material based on selected contents of World Cancer Report through a variety of educational resources and a webinar series. The webinars will engage experts from different disciplines to discuss key themes or to deepen knowledge on a World Cancer Report topic from the perspective of a specific geographical area or a particular discipline.
The first three instalments of the webinar series – on human papillomavirus (HPV) vaccination, obesity and cancer, and social inequalities – will be available on the World Cancer Report Updates platform in the coming months. The first of these live events is scheduled for 19 November.
