To mark World Cancer Research Day 2020, on 24 September, the International Agency for Research on Cancer (IARC) is launching a new project to highlight the work of the Agency and its scientists by publishing a series of short profiles of individual researchers and the research projects they are working on. These Portraits of Scientists will showcase the diverse range of topics and people that drive IARC’s mission of promoting international collaboration in cancer research for cancer prevention.
The first Portraits of Scientists are now online, featuring Dr Béatrice Lauby-Secretan, Head of the IARC Handbooks Group; Dr Zisis Kozlakidis, Head of the Laboratory Services and Biobank Group; Dr Mathilde His from the Section of Nutrition and Metabolism; and Dr Iciar Indave from the WHO Classification of Tumours Group. More Portraits will be published soon, so be sure to check the IARC website regularly for updates.
