International Agency for Research on Cancer and Centre Léon Bérard to host public discussion on breast cancer prevention

The International Agency for Research on Cancer (IARC) and Centre Léon Bérard will host the first in a series of public discussions about cancer prevention tonight, 8 October 2019, at the IARC headquarters building in Lyon, France.

Tonight’s event, “Prévenir le cancer du sein : on en parle ?” (Preventing breast cancer: will we talk about it?), will focus on breast cancer prevention. The discussion will take place in French and will begin at 17:30 at 150 Cours Albert Thomas, 69008 Lyon, France. People who wish to attend should enrol via the link below.

IARC estimates that in 2018 there were almost 2.1 million new cases of breast cancer and more than 627 000 deaths from breast cancer worldwide.
