The Global Initiative for Cancer Registry Development (GICR) is pleased to announce the launch of its revamped website. The GICR is led by the International Agency for Research on Cancer (IARC), working with international partners, and is a unified strategy that shares knowledge and facilitates research to inform cancer control.
The updated website describes the significant progress that has been achieved by the GICR and outlines the next phase of the initiative as it targets a growing number of low- and middle-income countries to identify their needs and provide the necessary support to strengthen capacity in cancer registration and thus develop high-quality cancer data.
The website also provides examples of key activities of the GICR, along with resources related to cancer registration and descriptive epidemiology.
