Launch of InterCHANGE website: The study of head and neck cancers in Latin America
The International Agency for Research on Cancer (IARC) is the coordinating centre for a recently launched study of head and neck cancers in Latin America (InterCHANGE). The main focus of the study is to investigate genetic, infectious and lifestyle factors in the onset and outcome of head and neck cancers in the region. The study is currently under way in multiple centres in Brazil as well as Argentina, and additional partners are envisaged.
A dedicated website,
http://interchange.iarc.fr, presents InterCHANGE to the scientific community through its public interface, including objectives, a description of the study, a list of collaborators and dates and venues of upcoming meetings. A protected area contains pertinent information for the recruiting centres, such as protocol, questionnaires and minutes of the InterCHANGE meetings.
Centres interested in learning more about InterCHANGE and the possibility of joining the consortium should contact the project coordinator Dr Paul Brennan at: interchange@iarc.fr
